Being a third generation native and having a Masters in Geology, co-owner Jim Montgomery brings a flavorful, easy-to-understand interpretation of the vast, complex geological features of Yellowstone. Jon Sowerwine, co-owner, has a Juris Doctor's degree and is a fourth generation native of the area.
Tour guide Mike Kohls, has had a great deal of experience guiding, including stagecoach tours in Yellowstone and Horseback rides out of Bill Cody Ranch.
Russell Pickering, we believe, is one of the most talented photographers around. He is available to assist guests with special photography needs or instruction. Having spent a lifetime in the outdoors of the Greater Yellowstone, the owners of High Country Adventures understand the ecology of the wildlife around this area.
